Carry-On Allowance
All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of
you and adhere to the carry-on baggage allowances. Carry-ons may not include any
dangerous goods unless permitted for carriage.
REMINDER: Bulkhead seats do not have underseat storage during take-off and
landing.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Your checked baggage allowance for your flight varies depending on your
itinerary, cabin class, Qantas Frequent Flyer status or Qantas Club membership.
Typically, domestic flights within Australia allow Economy passengers one piece
of luggage weighing a maximum of 23kg (50 lbs); and Business class passengers
allow two pieces of luggage weighing a maximum of 32 kg (70 lbs).
For international flights to the Americas, Economy passengers are typically
allowed two pieces weighing a maximum of 23 kg (50 lbs) each. Visit the Checked

Excess, Overweight, Oversize Baggage Fees
If you have more bags than the permitted allowance or your bags exceed the
weight or linear restrictions, you will be charged additional fees. Please

Sports Equipment
Some checked items, such as surfboards and bicycles will be charged a fixed
handling fee because of size, fragility, or other handling requirements. Please
