Air Transat Baggage Allowance
Passengers traveling with Air Transat are welcome to bring:
Carry-on Allowance
Each passenger of Air Transat is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal
item such as a laptop bag, handbag, or briefcase. Assistive devices and outer
garments do not count as personal items. All carry-on luggage must fit in the
overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. You must be able to lift your
carry-on into the overhead storage without assistance. All carry-on bags must
adhere to the following requirements:
• Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 9 in x 16 in x 20 in (23 cm x 40 cm x
51 cm)
• Maximum Weight of Carry-on Luggage: 10 kg (22 lb) in Economy Class and 15 kg
(33 lb) in Club Class
Checked Baggage Allowance
Each passenger of Air Transat is allowed to checked 1 baggage without charges
(depends on class of fares).
Each bag must adhere to the below requirements:
• Maximum Dimensions: 62 linear inches/158 cm (length + width + height)
• Maximum Weight: 44 lb/23 kg (25 kg for Club Class)
Prices for the second piece of checked baggage vary between $40 if prepaid and
$50 if paid within 24 hours of departure.
Exceed Baggage
A $75 fee will apply on each piece of checked baggage exceeding the maximum
weight allowed.
Baggage Drop Off Counter
Baggage drop-off counters close 60 minutes prior to departure time for
international flights and 45 minutes prior to domestic flights. Please allow
sufficient time for processing and security.
If you are not travelling with checked baggage, go directly to the boarding gate
before the boarding time indicated on your boarding pass.
