Rise Air was established in 2021 through the merger of Transwest Air and West Wind Aviation. Transwest Airlines itself resulted from the consolidation of La Ronge Aviation and Athabaska Airways. The airline's services encompass scheduled passenger flights, fishing charters, surveying operations, forest fire fighting, and medevac services.
