Air Cairo Unaccompanied Minors Policy

Air Cairo provides services for unaccompanied minors (UMs) to ensure their safe and comfortable travel:

Eligibility

The unaccompanied minor service is available for children aged 5 to 12 years traveling alone. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted to travel alone and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Children aged 12 to 15 can travel as unaccompanied minors upon request, even though they are not required to use the service.

Booking

Reservations for unaccompanied minors must be made in advance through Air Cairo’s customer service or at the time of booking. Relevant forms and documentation will need to be completed by the parents or guardians.

Fees

A service fee may apply for unaccompanied minors. The exact fee can vary depending on the route and should be confirmed at the time of booking.

At the Airport

Parents or guardians are required to remain at the airport until the flight has departed. Air Cairo staff will escort the unaccompanied minor through check-in, security, and boarding, ensuring they are settled on the aircraft.

In-Flight and Arrival

During the flight, the cabin crew will attend to the unaccompanied minor’s needs. Upon arrival, the child will be handed over to designated Air Cairo ground staff, who will ensure they are safely transferred to the receiving parent, guardian, or appointed representative at the destination airport.

These policies may differ, however, so you should check with Air Cairo for a description of its rules and services and any additional charges that may apply.
