Aircalin provides assistance for passengers who lose personal belongings during
their journey. Lost property handling depends on where the item was misplaced,
including inside the aircraft cabin, airport facilities, or through checked
baggage services.
Items Left on Board the Aircraft
Items discovered inside Aircalin aircraft after arrival are collected by cabin
crew or ground handling personnel. The belongings are recorded and transferred
to the appropriate airport service department or Aircalin representative for
safekeeping.
Passengers who leave items onboard must provide relevant information when
submitting a report, including flight number, travel date, seat location,
description of the item, and passenger contact details.
Electronic devices, travel documents, and valuable belongings are handled under
security procedures. Identification and proof of ownership are required before
recovered items are returned.
Items Lost at the Airport
Belongings misplaced at airport facilities, including check-in counters,
boarding areas, waiting zones, and security areas, are managed by the airport
authority responsible for the location.
Aircalin assists passengers by confirming flight information and coordinating
with airport personnel when necessary.
Passengers should report missing belongings as soon as possible because
unclaimed property storage periods are determined by local regulations.
Baggage-Related Lost Property
Passengers whose checked baggage is delayed, missing, or damaged must report the
issue immediately after arrival. Aircalin ground staff create a baggage
irregularity report to begin tracing procedures.
Passengers must provide:
• Baggage claim tag number
• Flight details
• Passenger contact information
• Baggage description
The airline uses baggage tracing procedures to locate delayed luggage and
provide updates during the search process.
Recovery and Collection
Recovered belongings are released after verification procedures. Passengers may
be required to provide identification before collecting personal items.
For delayed baggage, delivery arrangements may be coordinated once the luggage
reaches the destination airport.
Passenger Advice
Passengers are advised to keep passports, medication, electronic equipment,
money, and other valuable items inside cabin baggage. Aircalin recommends
keeping baggage receipts and identification tags until the completion of the
journey.
Items left unattended in public areas may be subject to airport security
procedures and storage limitations.
