Air India's Lost & Found service handles baggage and personal item recovery at
airports and onboard flights.
Reporting Lost Items
At the Airport:
If you lost an item at the airport, report it to the Lost & Found desk at the
respective airport.
If you lost an item onboard, report it to Air India’s baggage service office at
the arrival airport.
After Leaving the Airport:
Contact Air India’s Lost & Found department at the airport where the item was
lost.
Provide flight details, date, and a description of the lost item.
Delayed or Missing Baggage
Report immediately at the baggage claim area before leaving the airport.
You will receive a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with a tracking number.
Track your baggage using Air India’s online baggage tracing system or contact
customer service.
Found Items & Retrieval
If your lost item is found, you will be contacted for collection or delivery.
Proof of identity and flight details may be required to claim the item.
For specific airport contacts, reach out to the Air India Lost & Found desk at
the relevant airport.
It’s recommended to act quickly and contact the airline or airport Lost & Found
as soon as possible to increase the likelihood of recovering your belongings.
