Batik Air Children Flying Alone Policy
An unaccompanied minor is aged between 5-12 years old for Batik Air domestic flights and for young passengers, the age is between 13-16 years old.
Children in between 2 - 5 years old MUST be accompanied by an able-bodied
passenger aged 18 years old and above.
Batik Air ground staff will be alerted of Unaccompanied Minors (UM) and Young
Passengers Travelling Alone (YPTA) present for flights and take them under their
care from the check-in process until the boarding gate where they will be handed
over to the cabin crew.
Upon reaching, the child will be accompanied by Batik Air staff through
immigration processes and baggage collection, before being handed over to the
appointed guardian. Rest assured that your child will be with safe hands with
Batik Air friendly and well-trained staff.
If you are allowing your child to fly alone as an unaccompanied minor, be sure
to take every necessary precaution to ensure his or her safety.
