If personal belongings are misplaced during travel with Jin Air, passengers
should contact the appropriate service provider as soon as possible.
The handling process differs depending on whether the item was left onboard the
aircraft, inside the airport terminal, or involved checked baggage.
Prompt reporting improves the likelihood of successful recovery.
Items Left on Board the Aircraft
Articles left inside the aircraft cabin after arrival are collected by cabin
crew and transferred to the airline's ground handling representative at the
arrival airport. Recovered items are documented before being stored for
collection.
Passengers should report forgotten belongings by contacting Jin Air Customer
Service or the arrival airport's ground handling office. Flight number, travel
date, seat number, and a detailed description of the item should be provided.
Items Lost at the Airport
Items misplaced inside airport terminals, including check-in halls, security
screening areas, immigration checkpoints, departure lounges, restaurants, or
boarding gates, are managed by the airport's Lost and Found office instead of
Jin Air. Passengers should contact the airport where the item was last seen.
Baggage-Related Lost Property
Passengers whose checked baggage fails to arrive must report the issue
immediately at the baggage service counter before leaving the arrival hall. A
Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is created to begin baggage tracing through
the international baggage tracking system.
Reporting a Lost Item
Passengers should provide identification, baggage claim tags, boarding passes,
contact information, photographs where available, and a detailed description of
the missing property. Accurate information assists staff in matching recovered
items.
Recovery and Collection
Recovered property is retained for a limited storage period in accordance with
airport or airline procedures. Owners must present valid identification before
collection. Courier delivery may be arranged at the passenger's expense where
available.
Passenger Advice
Money, passports, jewellery, electronic devices, medication, confidential
documents, and other valuable articles should remain in carry-on baggage
throughout the journey. Passengers are encouraged to verify seat pockets,
overhead bins, charging points, and surrounding areas before leaving the
aircraft.
