KM Malta Airlines Unaccompanied Minors Policy
KM Malta Airlines provides special services for unaccompanied minors to ensure their safety and comfort during travel.
Age Requirements
Children aged 5-11 years: Can travel alone but must use the Unaccompanied Minors
(UM) service.
Children under 5 years: Are not allowed to travel alone and must be accompanied
by an adult (aged 16 or older).
Children aged 12-15 years: Can travel alone without the UM service but may
request it for extra assistance.
Booking the UM Service
The UM service must be requested at the time of booking or at least 48 hours
before the flight.
A responsible adult must accompany the child to the airport, remain until
departure, and ensure that a designated guardian will be available at the
arrival destination.
At the Airport
Unaccompanied minors are supervised by airline staff throughout the check-in,
boarding, and flight processes.
The airline ensures the child is handed over to the designated guardian upon
arrival.
Parents or guardians are advised to arrive at the airport early to complete the
necessary paperwork for the service.
