Passengers travelling with MIAT Mongolian Airlines are permitted to carry the following baggage.

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Economy Class passengers may bring one cabin bag weighing up to 8 kg. The maximum permitted dimensions are 55 cm × 40 cm × 20 cm, allowing the bag to fit inside the overhead storage compartment.

Business Class passengers may carry two cabin bags with a combined maximum weight of 15 kg, provided each item complies with the airline's size restrictions.

In addition to cabin baggage, passengers may carry one personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, briefcase, or small backpack that fits beneath the seat in front.

Cabin baggage is subject to security screening before departure. Oversized or overweight items may be transferred to the aircraft hold if they exceed the permitted allowance.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage depends on the fare purchased and cabin class.

• Economy Class Saver fares: Allowance according to fare conditions, with certain promotional fares excluding free checked baggage.
• Economy Standard and Flex fares: 1 piece up to 23 kg.
• Business Class: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg.

Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm in total linear dimensions.

The maximum accepted weight for an individual checked bag is 32 kg. Heavier baggage must be repacked before check-in acceptance.

Extra Baggage

Passengers may purchase additional baggage before departure through MIAT Mongolian Airlines' reservation system or airport ticket offices.

Charges apply for excess weight, additional baggage pieces, or oversized luggage beyond the standard allowance.

Sports equipment, musical instruments, bicycles, and other special baggage are accepted subject to advance notification, available aircraft space, and applicable handling charges. Certain fragile or valuable items may require special packaging before transportation.
