Items Lost Inside the Airport Terminal

Property misplaced in airport facilities, including check-in halls, security screening areas, immigration, departure lounges, boarding gates, restaurants, or public waiting areas, falls under the responsibility of the airport operator. Passengers should report such items directly to the airport's Lost and Found office.

Missing Checked Baggage

Passengers who cannot locate their checked baggage upon arrival should report the matter immediately before leaving the baggage reclaim area. Airline representatives will prepare a Property Irregularity Report (PIR), which serves as the official record for baggage tracing.

Passengers should retain their baggage claim tags and boarding pass throughout the tracing process. These documents are required to verify ownership and assist with baggage tracking.

Damaged Baggage

Damage to checked baggage should be reported before leaving the airport. Airline staff will inspect the baggage and document the damage for assessment in accordance with the airline's baggage liability procedures.

Recovery and Collection

Recovered property is stored for a limited period in accordance with local airport regulations. Collection normally requires valid identification and proof of ownership. Where available, delivery services may be arranged at the passenger's expense.
