Aurigny Baggage Policy

Passengers travelling with Aurigny are welcome to bring:

Carry-on Baggage

All routes except between Alderney - Southampton, Alderney - Guernsey and for travel between the UK and Alderney via Guernsey;

2 pieces with a maximum combined weight of 10Kg. 1 piece with maximum dimensions of 55x36x20cm ** to fit in the overhead locker and 1 piece maximum 35x25x20cm to fit underneath the seat in front. **If you are asked to check the size of your bag in the gauge ALL parts (including wheels and handles) must fit comfortably inside without being forced.

For Alderney, Southampton and connecting flights via Guernsey ;

1 piece with a maximum weight of 6kg and maximum dimensions 35x25x20cm to fit underneath the seat in front.

If your hand baggage is too large then you will be required to check it in and this may incur charges if it takes you over your hold luggage allowance.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Standard Hold Bag

Up to 20 kg (15kg on Southampton - Alderney/Alderney - Southampton route)

Large Hold Bag

Up to 23 kg, no single hold bag can exceed the maximum weight limit of 23kg.

Checked Baggage will, whenever possible, be carried on the same aircraft as you, unless Aurigny decide for safety, security or operational reasons to carry it on an alternative flight. If your Checked Baggage is carried on a subsequent flight Aurigny will deliver it to you, unless applicable law requires you to be present for customs clearance.

Through Checked Bags - please note that Aurigny do not have any agreements for checking baggage directly through from one flight to another, or from one airline to another. If your airline check-in offers you this service to connect with an Aurigny flight please decline as the baggage will NOT automatically be transferred to our flight and is likely to left in the baggage area as unclaimed baggage.

It is your responsibility to reclaim your baggage and check it in for your Aurigny flight. Aurigny are not liable for delivering baggage that has been incorrectly tagged through from another airport.

EasyJet / Gatwick Connects if you have booked via the Worldwide by EasyJet website, or are using the Gatwick Connects service you need to reclaim your baggage and check it in for your next flight at the Gatwick Connects desk.

Excess Baggage

Rates (Effective April 2018)

Services between Guernsey and the UK and Grenoble £10.00 per kg. All other services £4 per Kg. Please note - Excess luggage paid for at the airport on the day of travel will be carried subject to availability.
