Mesa Airlines
Mesa Airlines, Inc. is an American regional airline headquartered (HQ) in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The Airlines is a subsidiary of Mesa Air Group and operates flights as American Eagle and United Express via respective code sharing agreements with American Airlines and United Airlines.

Mesa filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2010, hoping to shed
financial obligations for leases on airplanes it no longer needed. In March
2011, Mesa emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The time Mesa spent in
bankruptcy was one of the shortest periods in aviation history.
The company emerged from bankruptcy on March 1, 2011 (just 14 months later)
as a privately-held company (recognized as the fastest and least impact
reorganization processes ever undertaken by an airline.) In the process, the
company returned 100 excess 50-seat aircraft and drastically streamlined to
focus on the operation of large regional jets.
Though its fleet and workforce were dramatically reduced, the company
honored its collective bargaining agreements, never furloughed a flight
attendant and did not cut employee wages. During the process, Mesa sold its
ownership in Spirit Airlines and settled its non-aircraft related debt.
As of December 2017, Mesa operates over 688 daily departures to 129 cities
in 40 states, the District of Colombia, Canada, and The Bahamas.
The total
fleet consists of 145 regional jets (60 Embraer 175 & 85 Bombardier CRJ).
