Southwest Airlines' loyalty program is called Rapid Rewards.

Overview

Points Earning: Members earn points based on the airfare amount and fare type, not distance flown. Bonus points are offered for Business Select and Anytime fares.

No Expiration: Points do not expire as long as your account remains active.

Award Flights: Points can be redeemed for any seat without blackout dates. The points required for a flight vary based on ticket cost and availability.

Benefits

Tiers: The program has three tiers:

A-List: Earned after 25 one-way qualifying flights or 35,000 Tier Qualifying Points (TQP) in a calendar year.

A-List Preferred: Achieved with 50 one-way qualifying flights or 70,000 TQP.

Companion Pass: Awarded after flying 100 qualifying one-way flights or earning 135,000 qualifying points in a calendar year. The pass allows you to bring one companion for free (excluding taxes/fees) on any flight you book.

Additional Perks:

Priority boarding, same-day standby, and bonus points for A-List members.

No blackout dates for redemptions.

Points can also be redeemed for hotels, car rentals, gift cards, and more.
