Spirit Airlines Check-in Information

Passengers traveling with Spirit Airlines can Check-in conveniently with the check-in options provided as below:

Online check-in (Web check-in)

Checking in online at Spirit.com is free, and it's the quickest way to check in for your flight and print your boarding pass. Check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends an hour prior to departure.

You may use this option if:

• You have an electronic ticket and the first flight is on Spirit Airlines;

• You may access your reservation with your confirmation code, e-ticket number, or frequent flyer account;

• You are not a special needs passenger (for example an unaccompanied minor or traveling with a pet).

By using online check-in, you may check bags but you must drop them at the airport baggage drop before the check-in deadline for your flight.

You can also pay for bag fees online as well as select or change seat online.

Guests who may not be able to complete check-in online include:

• Guests traveling with pets or emotional support/psychiatric service animals
• Guests traveling on a group reservation of 10 or more
• Unaccompanied minors
• Guests traveling with a lap infant
• Guests traveling with Military ID instead of a passport
• Guests traveling to or from certain international destinations
• Non-U.S. citizens departing from international locations
• Guests who purchased an extra seat or special items
• Guests that are unable to complete their check-in online will need to complete the process with a ticket counter agent (in this case the fee will be waived)

Airport Self Serve Kiosks / Counters Check-in

If you don’t check in online, Spirit Airlines kiosks at the airport are self-serve and easy to use. Spirit Airlines customer service agents are available at the airport; however, you may wait longer at the airport check-in counters and there is a charge of $10 to print each boarding pass.
