Sun Country Airlines Check-in Information
There are Department of Transportation regulations concerning passengers check-in, but every airlines have their specific procedures for check-in to protect the well-being of every passenger flying conveniently and safely.
Online Check-in
Sun Country Airlines passengers can check-in online between one and 24 hours
prior to your scheduled departure time.
You can check-in online using your Reservation Code and last name or at the
airport.
After check-in, travelers must verify their passport (for international flight
only) at the airport by scanning it at an available kiosk, at the ticket
counter, or at the gate prior to boarding.
Kiosk Check-in
Kiosk are available for travelers flying out of Terminal 2 at Minneapolis-St.
Paul International Airport. Travelers using kiosks will be able to check-in for
their flight as well as have the option to make bag or seat selections.
Travelers must pay with credit card for any charges incurred from bag or seat
changes or additions at the kiosk.
Airport Counter Check-in
The airport check-in counters open three (3) hours prior to departure for
all flights.
Check-in closes 45 minutes (U.S. airports) and 60 minutes (international
airports) prior to the scheduled departure time. Travelers flying out of Los
Angeles (LAX) must be checked in 60 minutes prior to scheduled departure, and
travelers flying out of St. Thomas (STT) must be checked in 90 minutes prior to
scheduled departure.
Boarding Gate
The boarding gate closes 10 minutes prior to departure and will not be reopened.
Guests who have not boarded prior to the boarding gate closing will be denied
travel on the flight and change/cancel fees may apply.
Priority Check-in and Boarding
Make travel hassle-free by gaining access to the priority check-in line at the
airport and the priority boarding zone at the gate.
Priority check-in and boarding ranges in cost from $5 - $15 per traveler, per
direction and must be purchased for all travelers on booking.
