Passengers travelling with Uzbekistan Airways are entitled to baggage allowances
according to the fare purchased, travel class and destination. The allowance
shown on the electronic ticket takes precedence where different fare conditions
apply.
Carry-on Baggage
Economy Class passengers may carry one piece of cabin baggage weighing up to 8
kg. The cabin bag must comply with the airline's prescribed size limits and fit
safely in the overhead compartment or beneath the seat in front.
Business Class passengers are permitted two pieces of cabin baggage with a
combined weight of up to 16 kg, provided each item complies with the applicable
size requirements.
In addition to the permitted cabin baggage, passengers may bring one personal
item such as a handbag, briefcase, laptop bag or small backpack that can be
stored beneath the seat.
Security screening regulations apply to all cabin baggage. Liquids, aerosols and
gels must comply with security requirements imposed by the departure airport.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Checked baggage allowances differ according to the fare conditions and route.
• Economy Class: generally one piece up to 23 kg
• Business Class: generally two pieces with a maximum weight of 32 kg each
For routes using the weight concept instead of the piece concept, the permitted
weight is shown on the passenger's ticket.
Each checked bag must comply with the airline's maximum size requirements.
Oversized or overweight baggage may be accepted only after payment of the
applicable excess baggage charges.
Extra Baggage
Passengers may purchase additional baggage allowance before departure through
Uzbekistan Airways sales offices, authorised agents or customer service channels
where the service is available.
Charges for excess baggage are calculated according to the additional weight,
number of pieces or dimensions exceeding the permitted allowance.
Sports equipment, musical instruments, mobility aids and other special baggage
may require advance notification. Certain items are transported under special
handling procedures and may be subject to separate conditions or fees.
Items prohibited by international aviation security regulations or national
customs legislation are not accepted for carriage in either cabin or checked
baggage.
