Adisumarmo International Airport

Adisumarmo International Airport (IATA: SOC, ICAO: WAHQ) serves the city of Solo / Surakarta in Central Java, Indonesia, situated 14 km north of the city.

It was the only international airport in Southern Central Java until the Adisucipto International Airport in Yogyakarta and Achmad Yani International Airport in Semarang were upgraded. On 28 January 2008, the airport temporarily closed to commercial traffic to accommodate the transportation of former Indonesian President Suharto's body from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport. Operations were transferred to the new terminal on 2 March 2009.

Terminal Facilities

The new terminal, which opened on 2 March 2009, features three aerobridges and four gates, and can accommodate wide-body jets such as the Airbus A330 and Boeing 777. The Airbus A330 is often used for Hajj flights during the Hajj season and for additional flights during Ramadan. The terminal includes a convenience store (Indomaret), food kiosks, a shopping area, and various food counters near the boarding lounge. The old terminal now serves VVIP flights.

The airport is managed by PT Angkasa Pura I.
