Notohadinegoro Airport

Notohadinegoro Airport (IATA: JBB, ICAO: WARE) serves the city of Jember in
East Java Province, Indonesia. The airport is operated by the Department of
Transportation of Jember Regency (Indonesian: Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Jember)
and spans 120 hectares. It aims to connect Jember with other cities in
Indonesia.
In mid-December 2015, the airport was temporarily closed due to volcanic ash
from the eruption of Mount Bromo.
Terminal Facilities
The airport features a terminal building managed by the Government of Jember
Regency. In 2015, plans were made to extend the runway to 2,500 meters to
accommodate larger aircraft. Additionally, the National Pilot School from
Banyuwangi planned to establish a base at the airport in 2015. The runway was
extended from 1,200 meters to 1,560 meters, and the airport resumed operations
in July 2014, with Garuda Indonesia (by Explore) starting daily direct flights
from Surabaya to Jember.
