Ranai-Natuna Airport
Ranai-Natuna Airport (IATA: NTX, ICAO: WION) is located in Ranai, the capital
city of Natuna Regency, on the Natuna archipelago in the South China Sea. The
airport serves both civilian flights and operates as a Type B airbase for the
Indonesian Air Force.
Terminal Facilities
A new passenger terminal was inaugurated on October 6, 2016, by President Joko
Widodo. The new terminal has an area of 3,868 m², significantly larger than the
old terminal which was only 243 m². The terminal can accommodate around 385
passengers daily and includes the following facilities: airport café,
restaurant, car park, check-in counter, x-ray baggage scanner, aviation
accidents rescue and fire fighting building, generator and pump house. The
airport is jointly managed and operated by the Ministry of Transportation and
the Indonesian Air Force.
Public Transportation
Various taxi and shuttle services are available outside the arrival hall. The
parking area can accommodate 154 cars and 32 motorcycles.
Technical Specifications
Ranai-Natuna Airport resides at an elevation of 2 meters (6 ft 7 in) above mean
sea level. It has one runway designated 18/36 with an asphalt surface measuring
2,560 meters x 32 meters (8,399 ft x 105 ft), with plans to extend to 3,000
meters and widen to 45 meters. The apron measures 120 meters x 60 meters, and
the taxiway measures 50 meters x 32 meters. The airport is able to serve large
military aircraft.

Ranai-Natuna Airport, connecting Ranai-Natuna to various destinations within
