Mutiara SIS Al-Jufrie Airport
Mutiara SIS Al-Jufrie Airport (Indonesian: Bandara Mutiara SIS Al-Jufrie)
(IATA: PLW, ICAO: WAFF), formerly known as Masowu Airport, is situated near Palu
in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Inaugurated in October 1957 by President
Soekarno, the airport's name was given during his visit to Palu as a gesture of
concern. The new terminal was opened on April 13, 2014.
The airport is located about 5 km southeast of Palu's city center. The Central
Sulawesi government is developing this airport into an international airport due
to the high demand for air transport in the region.
Terminal Facilities
The new terminal, which features three aerobridges, was inaugurated in April
2014, replacing the old terminal which was demolished to expand the apron. The
new terminal offers a more comfortable and improved environment for passengers.
The airport is managed by the Ministry of Transportation.

Taxi Services: Various taxi and private car services are available from numerous
providers outside the arrival hall.
Car Park: Ample parking space is available within walking distance of the
terminal.
Technical Specifications
The airport is situated at an elevation of 86 meters (282 ft) above sea level.
It has two runways: Runway 15/33 with a paved surface measuring 2,067 x 45
meters, and Runway 13/31 measuring 2,750 x 45 meters, capable of handling Airbus
A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft.
