Fatmawati Soekarno Airport

Fatmawati Soekarno Airport (IATA: BKS, ICAO: WIGG), formerly known as Padang Kemiling Airport, serves Bengkulu, a city in the Bengkulu province of Indonesia, located 14 km from the city center. The airport was named after Fatmawati Soekarno, the First Lady of Indonesia, on 14 November 2001, in honor of her contributions.

Terminal Facilities

The modern terminal, inaugurated on 11 January 2017, has significantly enhanced passenger comfort and experience. With an increase in passenger capacity from 350 thousand to over 1.5 million per year, the new terminal spans an area of 12 thousand square meters within a total land area of approximately 152 hectares. It features modern design elements and additional amenities such as food courts, executive break rooms, internet facilities, disabled-accessible toilets, and mother and child rooms. Terminal facilities also include 12 check-in counters, 3 departure gates, and 2 jetbridges.

The airport's operations are managed by UPT Ditjen Hubud, an agency under the Ministry of Transportation, Indonesia.
