H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin International Airport
H.A.S. Hanandjoeddin International Airport, formerly known as Buluh Tumbang
International Airport (IATA: TJQ, ICAO: WIKT, formerly WIKD and WIOD), serves
Tanjung Pandan, Bangka-Belitung, Indonesia, and stands as one of the main
airports catering to Belitung Island.
Located approximately 15 km east of Tanjung Pandan, it is one of the two
principal airports in the Bangka-Belitung province, alongside Depati Amir
Airport in Pangkal Pinang.
Terminal Facilities
In 2016, a modern terminal was inaugurated, enhancing passenger comfort and
providing various airport amenities. The upgraded terminal boasts contemporary
design and a range of facilities.
The airport's operations are overseen by UPT Ditjen Hubud, an agency under the
Ministry of Transportation, Indonesia.
Public Transportation
Outside the arrival hall, taxis and Angkutan Kota buses are readily available to
transport passengers to the city center.
Car Park: Ample parking space for vehicles is conveniently located within
walking distance of the terminal.
Technical Specifications
Situated at an elevation of 50 meters (164 ft) above mean sea level, the airport
features one runway designated 18/36, with an asphalt surface measuring 2,250
meters (7,381 ft) in length. With its 2,250-meter runway, the airport can
accommodate aircraft such as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737.
