Cargo Claims Officer

As a Cargo Claims Officer, you will be responsible for timely processing of
all cargo claims received by continuously monitoring discrepancies for cargo and
mail in major airports, you will initiate corrective measures and escalate to
reporting officer for crucial cases to minimize claim liabilities.
You need to monitor if customer complaints and claims received are recorded and
acknowledged. The Cargo Claims Officer will also ensure that all records and
files related to claims/discrepancies in a systematic manner and for easy
retrieval to comply with legal requirement.
Cargo Claims Officer will establish database and ensure all records related to
claims are maintained accurately.
Besides the daily duties as mentioned, Cargo Claims Officer will required to
assist the Lead Claims Officer in collecting evidence/supportive documents from
stations and customers coordinate with inter-departments for processing claims
and settlement to expedite the process.
The average Cargo Claims Officer salary in United States is US$35,000 per annum or
US$18 per hour. Entry level positions start at US$28,000 per annum while Cargo
Claims Manager can make up to US$70,000 per annum. Average salaries can vary
greatly due to company, location, industry, experience and benefits.
Overtime and shift allowances can increase income and some airlines provide
