Major international airports in most of countries are well connected with public transportation. There are numerous public transportation options both to and from these major international airports.

Renting a car and driver is an option if you need to get to a smaller destination, but driving yourself should only be considered if you an excellent driver with new environment.

Within most cities and towns the local transport consists of taxis and buses. Public buses ply the streets of larger cities and are always an adventure, but the private taxis do a fine job at a decent price.

Rail services is another public transportation option for some airport. The rail services is the most preferable option for some cities, e.g. Japan and United Kingdom as it may save you in cost and time.
