Namadgi National Park is a
protected area in the south-west of the Australian Capital Territory,
bordering Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. It lies approximately
40 kilometres (25 mi) southwest of Canberra, and makes up approximately 46%
of the ACT's land area.
Namadgi was declared a national
park in 1984 and covers 106,095 hectares, with 160 kilometres of marked
walking tracks. Walking is the most popular way to explore the park. By getting to Namadgi National Park from Canberra, you can take the line 5 bus to Lanyon Marketplace Terminus then take the taxi to Namadgi National Park. Alternatively, you can take the line 4 bus to Tuggeranong Interchange Arrivals then take the taxi to Namadgi National Park. [include1/match-con.htm] |
