Indiana Statehouse
The Indiana Statehouse is laid out in the shape of a cross. A large central
rotunda with a glass domed ceiling connects the four wings. The structure is
four stories high. Built in 1888, it is the fifth building to house the state
government.

Getting There
It is easily accessible by car, public transportation, or on foot. The
Indianapolis International Airport is about a 20-minute drive away. If you are
driving, the statehouse is located just off of I-65 and I-70, and there is ample
parking available in nearby garages and lots.
If you are taking public transportation, there are several bus lines that stop
near the statehouse, and the Indianapolis Amtrak Station is just a few blocks
away. Additionally, the Indianapolis Cultural Trail is a popular walking and
biking trail that runs through the city and passes by the statehouse.
