U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame
The Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame is home to an extensive collection of
artifacts and archives relating to the history of skiing. It contains displays
on skiers, trophies, clothing and equipment. There is a gift shop, library and
theater.
In 1905, the National Ski Association, today known as the U.S. Ski and Snowboard
Association, was formed in Ishpeming. The city is therefore often called the
birthplace of organized skiing in the United States.
The Roland Palmedo Memorial Library, one of the largest research ski libraries
in the United States is housed in the building.

There is no direct public transportation to the U.S. National Ski and Snowboard
