Barnegat Lighthouse
Barnegat Lighthouse, colloquially known as "Old Barney", is located on the
northern tip of Long Beach Island. Situated along the Barnegat Inlet, it is the
fourth tallest lighthouse in the United States.

Getting There
Barnegat Lighthouse is located in Barnegat Lighthouse State Park, Long Beach
Island, New Jersey. There are several options to reach the lighthouse by public
transportation:
Bus: The New Jersey Transit Bus Route 319 runs from New York Port Authority Bus
Terminal to Toms River, where you can transfer to the New Jersey Transit Bus
Route 67 to reach the Barnegat Light State Park. The journey takes approximately
3 hours.
Train and Bus: Take a train from New York Penn Station to Philadelphia 30th
Street Station. From there, take a bus to the Atlantic City Bus Terminal. From
the Atlantic City Bus Terminal, take the New Jersey Transit Bus Route 559 to
reach the Barnegat Light State Park. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and
30 minutes.
Car: If you have access to a car, you can take the Garden State Parkway to exit
63 and follow the signs to Long Beach Island. The lighthouse is located at the
northern end of the island in the Barnegat Lighthouse State Park.
