Flushing Meadows Corona Park
The park was the site of two world's fairs. It is also famous for its part in
the movie "Men In Black."
The park is the second largest public park in New York City.
Created as the site of the 1939/1940 New York World's Fair, the park was also
the site of the 1964/1965 World's Fair.
The site was originally the Corona Ash Dumps. The site consists of 1,255 acres
(5 km2).
The United Nations used some of the building in the park for its temporary
headquarters until its permanent headquarters in Manhattan was completed in
1951.
The Towers and Unisphere were used in the movie "Men In Black."
The first season of "The Amazing Race" used the park as the final destination.

Flushing Meadows Corona Park is a large public park in Queens, New York City. It
is located in the neighborhoods of Flushing and Corona and is accessible by
public transportation. The park can be reached via the subway, bus, or Long
Island Rail Road (LIRR) train.
The subway lines that serve Flushing Meadows Corona Park include the 7 train
(Flushing-Main Street bound), the E, F, M, and R trains (Queens Boulevard
bound), and the G train (Court Square bound). The park is also served by several
bus lines, including the Q23, Q48, Q58, Q72, and Q88.
If you're coming from Manhattan, you can take the LIRR train from Penn Station
to the Mets-Willets Point station, which is located at the park's northern end.
From there, it's just a short walk to the park's many attractions, including the
Queens Museum, the New York Hall of Science, and the USTA Billie Jean King
National Tennis Center.
