New York State Capitol
The Capitol was constructed between 1867 and 1899 and inspired by the City Hall
in Paris, France. The building is constructed in both the Romanesque and
Renaissance revival styles.
The structure is 220 feet (67 m) tall at its highest point.
The New York Capitol is one of ten U.S. state capitols that does not have a
domed roof.

Getting There
The New York State Capitol is located in Albany, the capital of New York State.
The Capitol is easily accessible by public transportation.
If you are coming from New York City, you can take Amtrak or Megabus to
Albany-Rensselaer Station, which is located across the Hudson River from Albany.
From there, you can take the CDTA bus #114 to Albany bus station, and transfer
to CDTA bus #12 or #22 to the Capitol.
If you are already in Albany, you can take the CDTA bus #12 or #22 directly to
the Capitol. Additionally, the Albany-Rensselaer Station is served by the CDTA
bus #214, which stops at the Empire State Plaza, a short walk from the Capitol.
Taxis and ride-sharing services are also available in Albany if you prefer not
to take public transportation.
