Cherokee National Capitol
The Cherokee National Capitol served as the headquarters for Cherokee government
from the time of its completion until 1907 when Oklahoma became a State.
The structure is fairly well preserved and is a late example of the Italianate
style.

Getting There
The Cherokee National Capitol is located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Unfortunately,
there is no public transportation directly to the capitol building. However,
there are several options to get to Tahlequah using public transportation,
including taking a Greyhound bus or Amtrak train to the nearby city of Muskogee
and then taking a local shuttle or taxi to Tahlequah. Alternatively, there are
also several car rental options available in Muskogee. Once in Tahlequah,
visitors can take a local taxi or walk to the Cherokee National Capitol.
