Sesquicentennial State Park is a state park in the Sandhills region of South Carolina. Located in the suburbs of the state capital, Columbia, Sesquicentennial State Park's 1,419 acres (5.74 km2) include a 30-acre (120,000 m2) lake.

Sesquicentennial State Park also includes many hiking trails, meeting facilities, a dorm, a ropes course, and a dog park.

The park was donated in 1937 by the Sesquicentennial Commission. Many of the buildings in Sesquicentennial State Park, as well as the stone entrance to the park, were built by members of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Getting There

Sesquicentennial State Park is located in the city of Columbia, South Carolina. It is possible to get there by public transportation using the Comet bus system. Visitors can take Route 21 to the Sparkleberry Square Shopping Center stop and then walk about a mile to reach the park entrance. Alternatively, visitors can take Route 46 or 64 to the Two Notch Road and Clemson Road stop and then transfer to Route 21 to reach the park. It is recommended to check the bus schedule beforehand to plan the trip accordingly.
