A visa is not required to transit through Norway providing that they do not
intend to leave the international transit area. In all these cases, you enter
the Schengen Area, and, unless you are exempt from short-stay visa requirements,
you must apply in advance for an entry and stay visa in order to transit through
Norway.
As a foreign national, you do not enter the Schengen Area. In principle, you are
not subject to entry visa requirements, with some exceptions. Certain
nationalities are subject to visa requirements to transit through an airport in
Norway (Airport Transit Visa or ATV).
With an airport transit visa you may only change to another airplane to a
destination outside the Schengen area. You may not leave the airport and you do
not have access to the Schengen area. When you are traveling from the airport
(by plane, car, train or bus) to another Schengen country, you need a Schengen
visa (C-visa).
