Air Astana permits ticket cancellations and refunds according to the fare conditions attached to each booking. Eligibility depends on the fare family, booking class, route, and the timing of the cancellation request.

Cancellation Policy

24-Hour Booking Cancellation

Certain bookings may qualify for cancellation shortly after ticket issuance when all applicable fare conditions and booking requirements are satisfied.

Non-Refundable Tickets

Economy Lite and selected promotional fares may not permit voluntary refunds after ticket issuance. Cancellation penalties or complete loss of the ticket value may apply according to the fare rules.

Refundable Tickets

Flexible Economy and Business Class fares allow voluntary cancellations before departure. Refund amounts are calculated after deducting applicable cancellation fees, service charges, and any unused ancillary services that are non-refundable.

Flight Disruptions

Passengers affected by airline-initiated cancellations, significant schedule changes, or operational disruptions may receive alternative flights or refunds in accordance with Air Astana's Conditions of Carriage.

How to Cancel

Reservations may be cancelled through the Air Astana website, mobile application, customer contact centre, ticket offices, or the travel agency that issued the ticket.

Refund requests are accepted for refundable tickets, unused flight coupons, qualifying schedule changes, involuntary cancellations, and unused government taxes where permitted by applicable regulations.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are returned to the original method of payment whenever possible. Processing time depends on the payment provider, financial institution, and method used during purchase.

Optional Services

Charges paid for seat selection, prepaid baggage, upgrades, or other ancillary products are refunded only when permitted by the fare conditions or when the airline cancels the affected flight.

Supporting Documents

Passengers may be required to provide booking references, passenger identification, payment confirmation, and additional documentation before refund requests are completed.
