SCAT Airlines Lost & Found

Passengers who lose personal belongings while travelling with SCAT Airlines should report the incident as soon as possible.

The recovery procedure depends on whether the item was left onboard the aircraft, inside the airport terminal, or relates to checked baggage.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Articles discovered inside the aircraft after arrival are collected by the cabin crew and transferred to the airline's ground handling representative. Each recovered item is recorded before being stored for passenger enquiries.

Items Lost at the Airport

Personal belongings misplaced within airport facilities, including check-in halls, security checkpoints, departure lounges, boarding gates, restaurants, or baggage reclaim areas, are handled by the airport's Lost and Found department rather than SCAT Airlines.

Baggage-Related Lost Property

Passengers whose checked baggage does not arrive at the destination must report the issue immediately before leaving the baggage reclaim area. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is created to begin baggage tracing through the international baggage tracking system.

Reporting a Lost Item

Passengers should provide the flight number, travel date, baggage tag number where applicable, a detailed description of the missing item, and contact information. Photographs of the item may assist during identification.

Recovery and Collection

When lost property or delayed baggage is located, passengers are contacted using the information supplied during the report. Identification and proof of ownership are required before items are released. Depending on local arrangements, baggage may be collected at the airport or delivered to the passenger's address.

Passenger Advice

Valuable belongings including passports, cash, jewellery, electronic devices, medication, business documents, and fragile items should remain in cabin baggage throughout the journey.
