SCAT Airlines provides an Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service for children
travelling without a parent or legal guardian on eligible flights operated by
the airline.
Eligibility
The service is available for children within the age limits specified by SCAT
Airlines. Eligibility requirements vary according to domestic or international
travel and applicable aviation regulations.
Booking Requirements
Parents or legal guardians must request the UM service when making the
reservation or before the scheduled departure. Availability is limited and
confirmation from the airline is required before travel.
Airport Procedures
The accompanying adult must complete the required documentation, remain at the
departure airport until the aircraft has departed, and present valid
identification. The receiving adult must also provide identification before the
child is released.
During the Flight
Cabin crew supervise the child throughout the journey, assist with boarding and
disembarkation, and provide reasonable assistance during the flight. The child
remains under airline supervision during transfers where the itinerary qualifies
for the service.
Travel Documentation
Children travelling internationally must carry valid passports, visas, consent
documents, and any entry requirements required by the destination country.
Service Fees
An additional service fee applies for the Unaccompanied Minor programme. Charges
differ according to route, journey type, and applicable fare conditions.
Restrictions
The UM service may not be available on every flight, certain connecting
itineraries, charter operations, or where operational limitations apply. SCAT
Airlines reserves the right to refuse transport if programme requirements are
not fully satisfied before departure.
