Passengers who lose personal belongings during travel with Air Europa should report the incident as soon as possible to improve the chances of recovery. The handling process depends on where the item was misplaced.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Articles left inside the aircraft cabin after arrival are collected by cabin crew during post-flight inspections. Recovered property is transferred to the airline's ground handling representative or contracted lost property office at the arrival airport for registration.

Items Lost at the Airport

Objects misplaced inside airport terminals, including check-in halls, restaurants, lounges, security checkpoints, boarding areas, immigration facilities, or baggage reclaim halls, fall under the responsibility of the airport's own lost property department rather than the airline.

Baggage-Related Lost Property

Passengers whose checked baggage does not arrive at their destination should immediately visit the baggage service office before leaving the airport. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is created using baggage tag information, enabling baggage tracing through international baggage tracking systems.

Damaged baggage should also be inspected and reported before leaving the baggage reclaim area. Supporting photographs and purchase receipts may be requested during claims assessment.

Reporting a Lost Item

When reporting missing property, passengers should provide flight numbers, travel dates, baggage tag numbers where applicable, detailed descriptions of the missing items, identifying characteristics, and current contact information.

Recovery and Collection

Recovered belongings are retained according to local regulations. Owners are required to present valid identification and proof of ownership before collection. Where available, courier delivery may be arranged at the passenger's expense.

Passenger Advice

Travellers are advised to keep passports, identification documents, cash, jewellery, medicines, electronic devices, and other valuables inside their cabin baggage instead of checked luggage. Proper identification labels attached to checked bags also assist with faster recovery when baggage becomes separated during transport.
