Turkmenistan Airlines Lost & Found

Passengers who misplace personal belongings during travel with Turkmenistan Airlines should report the loss as soon as possible.

The airline, together with its contracted ground handling companies, maintains procedures for documenting, tracing, and returning misplaced property whenever recovery is possible.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Personal belongings left inside the aircraft cabin are collected after passengers disembark during routine cabin inspections. Items recovered by cabin crew are transferred to the airline's ground handling representative at the arrival airport for registration and safekeeping.

Passengers should contact the airline or its local handling agent at the arrival airport with their flight number, travel date, seat number, and a detailed description of the missing property.

Items Lost Inside the Airport

Articles misplaced within airport terminals, including check-in halls, immigration areas, security checkpoints, departure lounges, boarding gates, baggage claim halls, or public facilities, fall under the responsibility of the airport operator rather than the airline.

Passengers should contact the airport's Lost and Found office directly, providing the location, approximate time, and description of the missing item.

Missing or Delayed Checked Baggage

Passengers discovering that checked baggage has not arrived should report the matter immediately before leaving the baggage reclaim area.

A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) is completed by the baggage service office, allowing the airline to begin international baggage tracing procedures. Baggage tag receipts, boarding passes, and identification documents are required during reporting.

Damaged Baggage

Damage to checked baggage should be reported immediately upon arrival. Airline staff will inspect the baggage and determine whether repair, replacement, or compensation is applicable under international baggage liability rules and the airline's conditions of carriage.

Recovery Process

Recovered property is retained for a limited storage period. Passengers collecting recovered belongings must present valid identification and provide proof of ownership. Delivery services may be available in certain locations, subject to local handling arrangements and applicable transportation charges.
