Turkmenistan Airlines is the national airline of Turkmenistan, wholly owned by the Government of Turkmenistan and headquartered in Ashgabat. The airline operates its primary hub at Ashgabat International Airport, providing scheduled passenger, cargo, and charter services linking Turkmenistan with destinations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The carrier plays an important role in supporting international connectivity for the country while transporting government, business, and leisure travelers.

The airline commenced operations following the independence of Turkmenistan in 1992 after succeeding the former Soviet civil aviation network within the country. Since then, it has modernized its fleet with Boeing aircraft and expanded its international network while continuing to serve domestic destinations across Turkmenistan.

International services include destinations such as Bangkok, Beijing, Delhi, Dubai, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, London, Milan, Moscow, Tashkent, and other regional cities, subject to seasonal scheduling and operational adjustments. Domestic services connect Ashgabat with major cities including Turkmenabat, Turkmenbashi, Dashoguz, Balkanabat, and Mary.

As of mid-2026, Turkmenistan Airlines operates scheduled passenger flights to more than 20 destinations across approximately 15 countries, together with an extensive domestic network within Turkmenistan. The airline continues to expand selected international services based on bilateral agreements, operational requirements, and market demand while maintaining Ashgabat as its principal transfer hub.
