Turkmenistan Airlines provides an Unaccompanied Minor (UM) service for children
travelling without a parent or legal guardian. The service is designed to ensure
continuous supervision throughout the journey from departure until the child is
handed over to the authorised receiving adult at the destination.
Children accepted under the UM service must meet the airline's age
requirements and comply with all documentation requirements applicable to the
countries involved in the itinerary.
Reservation
The Unaccompanied Minor service must be requested before travel. Advance
approval is required because the number of unaccompanied children accepted on
each flight may be limited for operational and safety reasons.
Parents or guardians must provide complete contact information for both the
accompanying adult at departure and the receiving adult at the destination.
Airport Check-in
The accompanying adult must remain at the departure airport until the aircraft
has departed.
During check-in, airline personnel verify identification documents, complete the
required Unaccompanied Minor forms, and attach identification documents to the
child's travel wallet for use throughout the journey.
During the Flight
Cabin crew supervise the child during the flight, provide assistance appropriate
to the child's age, and monitor their well-being throughout the journey.
Children remain under the airline's care until arrival.
Arrival Procedure
Upon landing, airline or ground handling staff escort the child through arrival
formalities where applicable and release the child only to the authorised adult
named in the travel documentation. Identification must be presented before
custody is transferred.
Important Information
The Unaccompanied Minor service is available only on eligible flights operated
by Turkmenistan Airlines. Additional documentation, service charges, and
operational restrictions may apply depending on the itinerary, transit
