Passengers traveling with Alaska Airlines can Check-in conveniently with the check-in options provided as below:

Online check-in

By using online check-in, you can check-in anywhere from 1 to 24 hours before departure and print out your boarding pass yourself or have it sent to your mobile phone. With online check-in, you can also change your seat assignment, upgrade to First Class, and print a receipt for your flight.

You can easily pay your checked baggage charges online with a credit or debit card, then just bring them to the baggage-check location.

Mobile check-in

Mobile check-in allowed you to used one of the Alaska Airlines mobile apps from your phone or tablet to check-in between 1 to 24 hours before your flight. Add your precheck number during check-in, and get a digital boarding pass sent to your mobile phone (no more paper). When checking in, you can change your seat before your flight, or switch to a different flight.

Check-in kiosk

Check-in yourself by using the Check-in kiosks located at all of the airports throughout the Alaska Airlines system.

With carry-on baggage only - Available on the calendar day of departure, until 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Just like online check-in, purchase First Class upgrades, change your seat assignment, and print travel receipts. Once the kiosk prints your boarding pass, you can head straight to the gate.

With checked baggage - You may pay for checked baggage charges at a check-in kiosk up to 4 hours prior to your flights scheduled departure time. Once your boarding pass is printed, proceed to the baggage-check location.

Ticket Counter Check-In

If you are traveling with a paper ticket, or just need some extra help with the check-in process on the day of departure, Alaska Airlines customer service agents are always available to help get you going with an in-person check-in. Please note that checked baggage is only accepted within 4 hours of your scheduled departure.

Check-in Deadlines

The purpose of check-in deadlines is to guarantee that flights can depart on time. Before this deadline you must be in possession of your boarding pass, even if you are already checked-in online or mobile or automatically, and you must have checked in your baggage.

Suggested arrival time:

• 2 hours before scheduled departure time for US domestic flights

• 3 hours before scheduled departure time for international flights to/from the US

Minimum Check-in deadline is 40 minutes to 60 minutes depending on your checked baggage, airport and flight region.

Boarding closes at the following times for Alaska Airlines (AS) flights:

• 30 minutes before scheduled departure time for US domestic flights

• 30 minutes before scheduled departure time for international flights to/from the US
