Barton Hall (Cunningham Plantation)
Built for Armstead Barton in the 1840s, this antebellum, privately-owned home is
an unusually sophisticated Greek Revival style plantation house with a small
Doric entrance and limestone-paved rear courtyard.
The building is not open to the public.

By Car: You can get to Barton Hall by car. From Mobile, take I-10 east to the
Daphne exit (exit 35) and then turn left onto US-98. Continue on US-98 for about
4 miles, then turn right onto Main Street. Follow Main Street for about 1 mile,
then turn left onto Cunningham Road. Barton Hall will be on your left. There is
limited parking available on site.
By Public Transportation: The Wave Transit System provides limited bus service
to Daphne. Check their website for schedules and fares. However, note that
public transportation may not be the most convenient option for getting to
Barton Hall.
By Taxi or Rideshare: You can take a taxi or rideshare service such as Uber or
Lyft to Barton Hall from Mobile or surrounding areas.
No matter how you choose to get there, be sure to check the hours of operation
before you go, as the building is only open for tours on certain days and times.
Additionally, the road leading to Barton Hall is narrow and winding, so drive
carefully.
