Berlin Schönefeld Airport

Berlin Schönefeld Airport (IATA: SXF, ICAO: EDDB) is the secondary international airport of Berlin, the capital of Germany. It is located 18 km (11 mi) southeast of Berlin near the town of Schönefeld in the state of Brandenburg and borders Berlin's southern boundary. It is the smaller of the two airports in Berlin, after Berlin Tegel Airport, and is a base for Condor, EasyJet and Ryanair.

The airport resides at an elevation of 157 ft (48 m) above mean sea level. It has a runway designated 07L/25R with asphalt surface measuring 11,811 ft (3,600 m) in length.

It is planned to incorporate part of Schönefeld's existing infrastructure into the neighbouring Berlin Brandenburg Airport, scheduled to open in late 2020. It has been announced that Schönefeld's terminals are planned to be used until at least 2023 to handle low-cost carriers as part of the new airport.
