Grand Canyon West Airport (IATA: GCW, FAA LID: 1G4) is a public airport 60 miles
(97 km) northwest of Peach Springs, in Mohave County, Arizona.
It is owned and operated by the Hualapai Tribe and primarily serves as a
gateway to the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass bridge that extends over the
canyon's edge.
Currently, there are two airlines operating at Grand Canyon West Airport:
Grand Canyon
Airlines and Maverick Airlines. Grand Canyon Airlines offers sightseeing
tours over the Grand Canyon, while Maverick Airlines provides air tours and
helicopter rides.
Facilities at the airport include a passenger terminal building, a restaurant,
and a gift shop. The terminal building features a comfortable waiting area,
restrooms, and a small museum showcasing the history of the Hualapai Tribe and
the Grand Canyon.
As for public transportation, there is no direct public transportation available
to Grand Canyon West Airport. However, the airport does offer shuttle services
to and from major hotels in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon West area. Visitors
