O'Hare International Airport

Chicago O'Hare International Airport (IATA: ORD, ICAO: KORD, FAA LID: ORD), also
known as O'Hare Airport, Chicago O'Hare, or simply O'Hare (/oʊˈhɛər/), is an
international airport located on the Far Northwest Side of Chicago, Illinois, 17
miles (27 km) northwest of the Loop. It is the primary airport serving the
Chicago metropolitan area, with Midway International Airport, which is about 10
miles (16 km) closer to the Loop and serves as a secondary airport.
The airport serves as a hub for several airlines, including
American Airlines, Delta
Air Lines and United
Airlines. Additionally, the airport is served by many other domestic and
international carriers, such as
Air France,
British Airways,
and Emirates.
Facilities at ORD include four terminals with a total of 191 gates, a wide
variety of dining and shopping options, and multiple lounges for travelers to
relax in. The airport also features several art installations, including a
neon-light sculpture known as "Sky's the Limit" that greets travelers as they
enter the airport.
Transportation options to and from ORD include the airport's own train service,
the Chicago Transit Authority's Blue Line, which runs between the airport and
downtown Chicago's Loop. Additionally, several public bus routes also serve the
airport, as well as multiple ride-sharing services and taxi companies. For those
driving to the airport, there are several parking options available, including
both covered and uncovered parking, valet parking, and economy parking.
