The airport is owned by the city and county. It is mostly used for general aviation but is also served by one commercial airline.

The airport has a single terminal building with basic facilities such as restrooms, vending machines, and rental car counters. The airport is served by Delta Connection, which provides daily flights to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
