King County International Airport
Boeing Field, officially King County International Airport (IATA: BFI, ICAO:
KBFI, FAA LID: BFI), is a public airport owned and operated by King County, five
miles south of downtown Seattle, Washington. The airport is sometimes referred
to as KCIA, but this is not the airport identifier.
Although the airport does not have commercial passenger airline service, it does
handle a significant amount of air traffic, including corporate jets, air cargo,
and general aviation. The airport is also used as a secondary airport for some
private charter flights and overflow traffic for nearby Sea-Tac Airport.
Facilities at King County International Airport include two paved runways,
multiple taxiways, and an FAA air traffic control tower. The airport also has a
full-service fixed-base operator for fueling and servicing aircraft, as well as
aircraft storage and maintenance facilities.
Public transportation options for King County International Airport include
several bus routes operated by King County Metro Transit. There are also
multiple taxi and ride-sharing options available for passengers.
