Washington Dulles International Airport (IATA: IAD, ICAO: KIAD, FAA LID: IAD) is an international airport in Loudoun and Fairfax counties in Virginia, United States, 26 miles (42 km) west of downtown Washington, D.C. The airport serves the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area, centered on the District of Columbia.

The airport is a hub for United Airlines  and a focus city for Frontier Airlines and JetBlue Airways. Other airlines that operate at Dulles include Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, among others.

Dulles Airport has three terminals, with a total of 123 gates, and offers a variety of amenities such as restaurants, shops, lounges, and free Wi-Fi. Ground transportation options include taxis, ride-sharing services, shuttles, and public transportation such as the Silver Line Express Bus and the Washington Flyer train.
